Evan Clabots is a design and product leader with more than two decades of experience building brands, developing consumer products, and scaling businesses through design. His work spans product strategy, industrial design, creative direction, merchandising, manufacturing, and organizational leadership, with a particular focus on transforming ambitious ideas into products and businesses built for growth.

Throughout his career, Evan has helped companies evolve from early-stage concepts and narrow product offerings into broader, more mature brands. At Burrow, he played a key role in expanding the company beyond its original sofa system into a multi-category home furnishings brand. More recently, as Vice President of Product Development & Innovation at Cozey, he helped guide the Montreal-based company through a period of rapid growth, building the product organization and expanding its assortment from a focused seating business into a broader home brand.

Earlier in his career, Evan worked across design, entrepreneurship, and emerging commerce through roles and projects with Dror, Fab.com, OTHR, and Nonlinear Studio, as well as through his independent design practice. For over a decade, he has also taught at Pratt Institute, bringing his experience in product development, design strategy, and industry practice into the classroom. His work has received recognition, including Red Dot and Good Design Awards, has been sold through the MoMA Design Store, and has contributed to projects recognized by Fast Company’s Innovation by Design Awards.

Across these experiences, Evan has developed a perspective that sits deliberately between design and business. He believes the strongest products are not created in isolation: they emerge from a clear understanding of the customer, the brand, manufacturing, economics, and the broader business opportunity. His work focuses on bringing those elements together—building products, teams, and strategies capable of creating lasting value.

Today, Evan is focused on developing new products, advising growing brands, and exploring new ventures at the intersection of design, manufacturing, and entrepreneurship.
